What is the meaning of good mental health? There are some simple term that represent the word “good mental health,” they are: happiness, physiological cheerfulness, pleasure, and good thought. We need to care about our physical health to keep it in good condition; especially we are suffering form health problem. It also happens when we want to keep our mental health in good condition. We can’t ignore it. Our mental heath gives us more advantages than our physical heath.

Researchers say that one of four people is experiencing mental problems. Unfortunately, mental health service only available in very limited number. It can only cover 1% problem. Many people are not touched by the service and their mental health difficulties become worse.

Therefore, here are some important point of mental health, they are:

  1. Relationship, having wider connection of friend, colleague, and acquaintance are good for our mental health.
  2. Defiance, it is about how we grow, learn, and develop. As an adult person, we tend to avoid new changing; we don’t want to get or to learn something new. It is totally different with our children. As children, they like to get challenge everyday. They like to try something new. in fact, expanding our comfort zone helps us to get more self-confidence and sense of personal achievement.
  3. Serenity, it is about the balance of our spiritual life. It is also one of the most important related to the mental health. Having good relation with the God or nature give us deeper relaxation.
  4. Character, it is about we face our problem outside there and about how we interpret our circumstances and how respond them. All of thing that we experienced in our life affects our mental health so much.
  5. Creativity, children are naturally creative. As we become an adult, those creativities are decrease and more. We never realized that creativity exploration has great positive effect to our mental health.

Knowing those factors and giving them more attention helps us to keep our mental health stay in good condition.

Celebrating everything is not only about how to maintain your mental health improvement, but also it becomes your life style. Just practice it and you’ll love the result so much.

Being an adult person doesn’t mean that you are not allowed to laugh out of loud. You don’t have to be too serious in facing everything, just free up yourself.
